Studying Stage management and then sound at RADA Thomas joined Autograph in 1989 as a junior member of staff progressing to Hire Store manager.
After three happy years he decided to work freelance working mainly on Musical productions for Autograph and large operatic events for Sound Hire. Musical production included Cats UK and European Tour, Various productions of Les Miserables, Phantom of the opera, Mama Mia and many more. Working for Sound Hire Thomas worked as a production engineer with Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras individually and as the Three Tenors including Pavarotti in Hyde Park. The operatic work also meant that he worked on productions with Kiri te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel, Russel Watson, Andrea Bocelli and Montserrat Caballe.
Thomas's notable production Engineering credits include, Phantom of the Opera in Basel and Mexico City, Beauty and the Beast London, Lion King London, Jesus Chris Superstar UK tour, Show Boat, Carmen Jones UK and Japan.
