Networking Basics with Neal Clarke

Tuesday 30th January

10am - 4pm

The industry we work in is and has been moving to the world of networking for a while, and there have been many occasions that we have all thought it was a Dante or other protocol problem, but most of these complications are caused by basic network issues.

This will be a network conversation, at a manageable pace to suit learners of all stages.

This course will cover the basics of networking with the aim of developing your understanding and confidence with how to problem solve issues as and when they arise.

The 1 day course will cover areas such as:

IP addresses - DHCP & Manual addressing

DHCP servers why you would or wouldn’t want them

Subnet masks & Subnet rules

Wi-Fi networks within sound

Service priority & Quality of service
