An Introduction to smaart - Online with Rational Acoustics

Friday 15th September 2pm - 4pm

(9am - 11am Eastern Time (US and Canada)

First released in 1995, Smaart software is a cost-effective dual-channel FFT audio measurement and analysis platform developed for the needs of the professional sound engineering market. An essential tool in the system verification and tuning process, Smaart has been in continuous development over the last 28 years, adapting and refining this measurement technology to our industries’ unique needs and technologies. Smaart v9 is the current release of software.

This session will provide an overview of the basic principles and practices of using Smaart v9 as a tool to make RTA, Spectrograph, Frequency Response (Transfer Func8on), and Impulse Response measurements.

The session will be led by Jamie Anderson, President and head of Training and Development for Rational Acoustics. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the Yale School of Drama, Jamie has been teaching and working in the field of sound system engineering, measurement and alignment for over 30 years. He has taught more than 400 SIM and Smaart classes, for over 6,000 students in over 20 countries on 6 continents.
